A little bit of some snowy magic - Suffolk, Essex, Cambridge and London based family photographer
To see more of my varied portfolio click here. These mini sessions have proved to be very popular. A little bit of magic seems to come into play, as the children just seem to light up dressing up like a Princess, and making a mess with the fake snow. I love these sessions.

Essex, Suffolk, Cambridge and London children and family photography
Making the most of the last few Autumnal sunny days, we were blessed with some rays of sunshine, and headed off to a Country Park in Essex to take some shots having fun and laughing. I think their Mummy was very shocked to see them cuddling. It doesn't happen much!

Safe newborn posing, Suffolk, Essex, London and Cambridge newborn and child photography
I love photographing newborn babies. It is my passion. Whoever you choose to capture your precious newborn moments, make sure that baby is going to be posed safely, they can move so quickly even when snoozing away.

If you browse through pininterest, there are hundreds of creative newborn and child photoshoots. And some that are just plain worrying, like the child wrapped up in mains powered fairy lights - horror story waiting to happen. Or babies in glass jars, and yes I have seen a photographer with a baby propped up like this, not a hand anywhere close, whoever you choose, make sure they offer safe photography, your little bundle is the most precious thing in this world. Keep them safe!

The magic of childhood
What I love most about children, is the fact that they can be whoever they want to be. We create these gorgeous little people full of imagination, they sit immersed in a cardboard box, or playing in dirt, I love capturing the innocence, the joy of these amazing little people. Childhood should be magical. They inspire me to create a piece of magic for them.

Ho ho ho! Yes it nearly is that time again!
I love Christmas!
I adore planning my Christmas sessions, and always feel great excitement, shopping for new props and getting the sleigh and snowy backdrops out of storage!
Eeek!
So when you see all those how many shopping days left until Christmas adverts, and roll your eyes. I could jump up and down like a child!

I travelled to Cambridge to meet this beautiful little newborn, this pose isn't for all parents, each newborn session is tailored to the family's taste.
She was absolutely perfect and slept so well for her shoot.
This is a composite image made from two shots. Babies should never ever be posed like this unless you are experienced at posing babies. Dad's hands have been edited out, make sure whatever newborn photographer you pick, baby safety is the foremost priority for the shoot.

What I have been up to...........
There just aren't enough hours in the day, taking photo's takes up such a small part of time, editing is a big chunk for me, and the blogging takes a very poor last place, loving all my recent sessions. In a very happy place with my photography at the moment, I love being allowed to do something a little different. Lots more different to follow........
These two gorgeous little regulars, spent an hour with me being a little bit crazy (apparently I bring this out in children) but, I think you need this to get those twinkles in their eye. We had fun anyway. And that's what family sessions should be about!

I love photographing in the great outdoors, and actually there are some pretty cool locations in Suffolk and Essex, this is Rodbridge Country park near Long Melford.

I am so excited to announce that I will be working with Birds Baby Boutique
and Saturday saw our very special offers to celebrate us offering bespoke packages,
with a pop up shop in Bury St Edmunds at The Arc Shopping Centre. We have lots of lovely parents,
and beautiful little babies and siblings, and I was so impressed by the very professional Keri, and the
wonderful service she offers these families, absolutely loved watching her at work creating the tiny
little casts of her clients little tiny hands and feet!

Beautiful bump shoot in London with the gorgeous Danni Park-Dempsey
I was lucky to capture these gorgeous images of the stunningly sweet and lovely Danni Park-Dempsey before she gives birth, bump shoots are usually done around 34 weeks, before you start to get uncomfortable. It was a scorching hot day, and Danni braved the heat and the dog walkers, and she is just the sweetest young lady you could wish to meet. Can't wait to meet her little Princess very shortly.Danni Park-Dempsey

Beautiful little newborn James - London newborn photography
I was delighted to meet baby James lovely family in London this week. He slept like a little superstar, and the only person that got tinkled on was his Aunty who clearly dotes on the gorgeous little new addition to the family.
The image of James propped up is a composite, and is in fact 4 different images. Newborn safety is the most important part of any session.

I love the creativity that an image brings out, this did take quite a long while to make it look the way I envisioned. But it was definitely worth it.

Lifestyle photography
Lifestyle photography in Suffolk and Essex
Lifestyle photography for those unsure as to what it is, is a more relaxed and sometimes longer shoot. Rather than a studio, you pick a place of significance for you. i.e. around your home and garden, a favourite family place, the park, where you first met, of course the family shots are captured but it also records little moments, children playing, interaction that is not posed for the camera - just natural moments. Increasingly more people are now after this type of shoot as it conveys exactly how family moments are rather than formal posed studio type images. More mood and not so much looking at the camera, and if you don't like your photo being taken - doing normal family/couple "stuff" is an easier way to be relaxed as you are in your own environment, and not sitting posed.

Suffolk Essex children's photographer
Heading off for a sunset shoot on a glorious day, little did we know how squelchy it would be, of course us girls avoided the big puddles, but someone couldn't resist paddling! Gorgeous children.

Part of the family
Not only winning a silver, but featured on The Guild of Photographers images of the Month on their website, proud moments :D
In my second month of being a member of The Guild of Photographers, I am delighted to have won two Silver Awards and three Bronze awards for my images.
Link to The Guilds Facebook page.
At the beginning of March I was honoured to be chosen to capture the Wedding of Charlotte to Michael.
The venue was The Fennes, at Bocking, Braintree, Essex. Not having photographed a wedding there before, it was an absolute dream, beautiful grounds, stunning house. You can't really go wrong with a venue like this. Topped with the loveliest Bride and Groom you can ever hope to meet, and their equally gorgeous little boy, tears actually came to my eyes, seeing Charlie standing in her dress, and looking like a Princess.
Charlie chose Olivia Sandy to do her make up, and she looked quite simply breathtaking. Olivia is a brilliant make up artist, very calm and wonderful to see an artist at work.
Michael surprised Charlie with a bouquet declaring his love for her which matched her Bridal flowers, the flowers came from Sunflowers at Halstead. Truly perfect.
You can tell just how in love these two are.
Just after finishing the meal, we managed to capture the most perfect sunset, which for the time of year we were blessed with.
Charlie and her Bridesmaids were just absolute fun, from performing the routine they learned on the hen night from "Dirty Dancing", bouncing on the bed, the love everyone has for beautiful Charlie and Michael, just shined, when you have a sublime venue, amazing couple - the day was perfect, blessed with wonderful friends and love just shining. Final surprise of the evening came when we went outside, not for the sparklers I was going to bring, but Michael surprising Charlie with a firework display. The Groom who really wanted his wife to feel so special.
I am not lying to say I feel so so honoured to have been involved in this couple's precious day. Wishing the Warners a life full of love, laughter and joy!
